Things to do locally The historic town of Brecon is a 10-minute drive or a good morning’s stroll along the picturesque Brecon canal. The Brecon area offers guests many visitor attractions including the Dan-yr-Ogof caves, Llangorse lake and the Big Pit. Also to enjoy are the endless options for outdoor pursuits such as mountain climbing, hill walking, canoeing, cycling, pony trekking, bird watching, endless water sports to gentle walks along the river banks of the Usk. Not forgetting the golf courses of Cradoc and Brecon. Local places of interest and culture include Brecon Cathedral, the South Wales Borderers museum and Brecon Theatre, situated on the banks of the canal and offering a wide variety of shows. |

Access Statement Talybryn House welcomes enquiries from disabled guests and we are happy to discuss any additional requirements you may have. Access to the house is via 5 stone steps to the front porch - a further single step takes you into the main hall where the ground floor is level throughout. Those with difficulty in walking may use a side entrance with two smaller steps. All our accommodation is upstairs on the first floor. This is reached via a large carpeted, sweeping Victorian staircase with a half landing after 18 steps. Rooms and corridors are spacious and well lit for ease of mobility, with subtle lighting during bedtime hours. Fridge space for medication is always available if required. A downstairs cloakroom is also available.
